Assistant Professor
in Psychology (personality & social psychology)
The Institute of Psychology, University of Southern Denmark is in the process of recruiting academic staff for the new under-graduate and graduate programmes in psychology. A position for an Assistant Professor in Psychology with focus on personality and social psychology will be available from July 01, 2010, for a 3-year period.
Job description:
Research:
The successful applicant will be expected to develop, strengthen and support one of the Institute of Psychology’s research areas.
The research areas are within health psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology and work and organisational psychology.
The applicant is expected to have obtained research experience and a research profile equivalent to the level of the position being applied for.
Teaching:
The successful applicant will contribute to teaching within personality and social psychology and related areas to both psychology and non-psychology students, and to the development of undergraduate and graduate programmes of study.
The applicant is expected to have experience teaching at university level equivalent to the level of the position being applied for.
Administrative duties:
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out administrative duties as delegated by the head of institute/head of study.
Qualifications:
- Academic, scientific and teaching qualifications in psychology equivalent to Ph.D. level.
- Experience with teaching in personality and social psychology and related areas equivalent to the level of the position being applied for.
- A portfolio of published scientific work within psychology equivalent to the level of the position being applied for.
- Experience with supervision of research projects (for example supervision of under-graduate and graduate research projects).
- Experience with organisational and administrative duties equivalent to the level of the position being applied for.
