You hold a PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or metabolomics and have 5 years of postdoctoral work experience? Your résumé displays skills in qualitative or quantitative mass spectrometry as well as a strong background in pre-analytics and biological sample preparation? For our R&D team in Innsbruck, Austria, we are looking for you to join us at the next possible date in a permanent full-time position as
Your role as Analytical Scientist (m/f)
Development and validation of metabolomics/lipidomics analytical assays and research kit products for biological samples
Independent planning and documentation of mass spectrometry-based assays (GC-MS, (U)HPLC-MS/MS, HRMS) including sample preparation for quantitation of endogenous metabolites from different biological matrices obtained from various disease and therapeutically-treated cohorts (metabolic phenotyping)
Quantitative analysis of biological samples and contractual research
Quality Management System (QMS) adequate documentation
Instrument operation and general laboratory maintenance
Publication and presentation of scientific articles and papers, preferably in English
Your profile as Analytical Scientist (m/f)
PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, metabolomics or in a similar field
5 years of postdoc work experience in qualitative or quantitative mass spectrometry (U)HPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS analysis including a strong background in pre-analytics and biological sample preparation
Preferably remarkable knowledge in metabolomics/lipidomics, pharmaceutical or biotechnology research environment and knowledge of QMS and/or medical product regulatory procedures
High competency in metabolomics data analysis and programming skills would be a plus
Excellent English communication skills and the ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues from other disciplines and departments
Analytical problem and challenges solving skills as well as a result- and milestone-oriented way of working
