The Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics of the University of Zurich invites applications for an Assistant Professorship in "Information Systems" / "Wirtschaftsinformatik" (Tenure Track) starting in fall 2021.

We will be looking for an early career researcher with the perspective to replace an existing chair upon the expected retirement in 2028. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline. They should be capable to cover core Information Systems courses at the Department of Informatics (University of Zurich), and to exhibit an excellent research track record commensurate with their career stage.

The specialization should be primarily in the Information Systems discipline and be compatible with Computer Science research that shapes the Department of Informatics. She or he should ensure that Information Systems at the University of Zurich keeps pace with the digitization developments in society and economy. A strong motivation to teach both at the undergraduate as well as the graduate levels and an interest in interdisciplinary co-operations are considered a plus.

The successful candidate is expected to establish her or his research group, raise some funding commensurate with their seniority and actively interface with the other groups at the department, the faculty, and potentially also other faculties within the university.
