An Assistant Professor (m/f) position (Ref.Nr. 3206) is offered in the field of Human Computer Interaction. The position is with the Institute for Management Information Systems at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (https://www.wu.ac.at/ec/home). The position is a non-tenure track position with a gross monthly salary of 3,590.70 EUR paid 14 times per year. It is limited to a period of 6 years, starting at the earliest convenience.

Responsibilities: This position aims to attract a candidate with a good publication track record who wants to conduct research at the intersection of digital human-computer interaction, computer ethics, privacy & security or human-friendly IT system design. The candidate should have a good understanding of IT and be very experienced in conducting experimental research (including subsequent statistical analysis). A track record in experimental, quantitative and/or qualitative human behaviour studies is desirable. The candidate should be open and interested in a highly interdisciplinary environment and interacting with psychologists, philosophers, economists, engineers, computer scientists and others. Research questions are developed and pursued at this cross-section of domains. Application areas are Ubiquitous Computing, Autonomous Systems, Artificial Intelligence or Web-based Systems (i.e. E-Commerce, Online Social Networks, Life-Logging, Virtual Reality). Besides a clear emphasis on research in this position, the candidate will have a leadership role as co-chair of the Privacy and Sustainable Computing Lab hosted at the Institute and also teach 4 hours per semester.

Your Profile: Applicants for this postdoctoral position must have a Ph.D. in any field, that has allowed them to do research in any of the areas described above. This may preferably be psychology, but applicants from other fields, such as human-computer interaction, economics, philosophy, computer science, business informatics, engineering, mathematics, etc. are also welcome. Applicants should already have a number of international publications. They should be able to demonstrate exceptional analytical and conceptual skills. They must be fluent in written and spoken English and possess knowledge on experimental design and demonstrate good skills in statistical analysis.
