Full Professorship in Organization Studies (100%)
The University of St.Gallen and its School of Management are seeking candidates for a full professorship in the field of Organization Studies. The triple accredited (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA) university offers a stimulating and well-equipped research environment with a large network ranging from start-ups, small businesses to large firms to engage in field studies.
We are looking for a colleague focusing on understanding and shaping both static and dynamic aspects of organizations. Particular attention should be paid to organizational processes, practices, and cultures. Expertise in mixed and/or qualitative methods is required. The publication record of the candidate should demonstrate an integrative and interdisciplinary approach to phenomena such as business ecosystems, innovative ways of organizing, and organizational transformation in the digital age. We consider agile approaches and process intelligence to be within the disciplinary focus.
According to our claim "From insight to impact" the future colleague should convey scientific knowledge with societal relevance to students at all levels including executive education andhave a significant impact on theory and practise. In addition, generating external funding is an important part of the position.
The postholder is expected to take on the academic leadership for the Master Program in Management, Organization and Culture (MOK) by 2026 and should contribute to the Doctoral Program in Organization & Culture (DOK). We seek candidates per August 1st, 2023 or by mutual agreement. We are looking for senior candidates with an internationally recognized research track record in leading journals in the field of management and organization studies, excellent teaching skills including executive education. Excellence in leadership, academic citizenship and funds acquisition are further requirements.
