invites applications for the following position, to be filled by February 1st, 2020:
Full (W3) Professorship for Business Informatics and Digital Transformation
This is a professorship to be filled on a permanent basis. The professorship is
funded for three years by SAP SE.
The holder of this position will cover the topic of digital transformation in research
The successful candidate will have a record of excellent research performance
in this field. These accomplishments must be demonstrated by a post-doctoral
qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent scholarly achievements in the subject of
information technology, business informatics or a similar field, as well as international
publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals and conferences with an
high impact factor.
The holder of this position will perform interdisciplinary research on the effects of
digital transformation on enterprises, politics and society. The successful candidate
will therefore have a national and international network of similarly oriented
cooperation partners, and will provide evidence of wide-ranging and diverse experience
in the implementation of interdisciplinary research projects.
This position will teach courses in the bachelor's degree program in business
informatics and the master's degree programs in business informatics and digital
transformation, as well as data science. We therefore expect an excellent track
record in teaching, as well as experience in providing support for young researchers.
We expect the holder of this position to actively contribute to the expansion of the
subject of digital transformation in politics, economy and society at the Faculty of
Economics and Social Sciences.
The hiring process is subject to the requirements set forth in Section 41 of the
Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG). The appointment procedure shall
be conducted in accordance with Section 40 BbgHG.
