Science, Institute of Nutritional Science
invites applications for the following
position to be filled as soon as possible:
Full Professorship (W 3)
for Food Chemistry
The successful applicant should have a research focus
in the area of instrumental analytics and/or a topic
linked to life science or toxicology. The applicant should be
internationally renowned for high-ranking publications
and successful acquisition of third-party funding. The
research topic should complement the current research
activities at the Institute of Nutritional Science, the
cooperating Leibniz Institutes German Institute of
Human Nutrition (DIfE) and it should offer cooperation
options with the Faculty of Health Sciences, a joint
faculty of the University of Potsdam, the Brandenburg
Medical School Theodor Fontane and the Brandenburg
University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg as well
as cooperation with the Institute of Chemistry in Golm.
Management experience or experience in the coordination
of research projects is desired.
The applicant will have teaching obligations in the
bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in “Nutritional
Science” as well as the international master’s degree
program “Toxicology”. The applicant must be able to
comprehensively cover the syllabus of food chemistry
and food safety. Non-German-speaking appointees are
expected to acquire proficiency in German sufficient to
be able to interact with all colleagues, students and staff
within two years.
The hiring process is subject to the requirements set forth in Section 41
of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG).
The appointment procedure will be conducted in accordance with Section 40 BbgHG.
