Way to Europe: Culture -Environment Interaction and Human Mobility in the
Late Quaternary" (chairpersons: Prof. Dr. Jürgen Richter, Prof. Dr. Frank Schäbitz,
University of Cologne, Prof. Dr. Thomas Litt, University Bonn) offers
13 graduate internships
The research centre (SFB 806) comprises 21 research programmes with about 80 participating
scientists from the Universities of Cologne, Aachen and Bonn. The research period is planned
from July 2017 to June 2021, subject to the positive decision of the German Research
Foundation. Research of the CRC includes a broad range of disciplines, such as Physical
Geography, Geology and Mineralogy, Geophysics, Geoarchaeology, Palaeolimnology,
Prehistoric Archaeology, Cultural Anthropology.
The positions are available from July 1st 2017 or January 1st 2018 for three years (graduate internships) subject to satisfactory progress reviews after 12 and
24 months. Payment is based on the German TV-L E13 scale if terms and conditions under
collective bargaining law are fulfilled.
