The International Max Planck Research School for the Mechanisms of Mental Functions and
Dysfunctions (IMPRS MMFD) is a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Biological
Cybernetics (MPI BC) and the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. The IMPRS is hosted at the
Graduate Training Centre of Neuroscience, the centerpiece of neuroscience training in Tübingen.

The IMPRS MMFD at the GTC offers outstanding master and PhD students a cross-disciplinary and internationally
appealing training program that pools the existing expertise and infrastructure of the MPI BC
and the Tübingen Neuro Campus to attract talents from all over the world.
The training program is structured, yet flexible and adheres to the highest standards in teaching and
research. Research topics cover a variety of fields in systems neuroscience, cognitive and behavioral
neuroscience, computational neuroscience, translational and clinical neuroscience as well as cellular and
In your role as IMPRS Coordinator you will be responsible for the management of all belongings of our
coordinating between the involved institutions to facilitate the recruitment and selection of top national
and international master and PhD students
management of the course program in cooperation with the scientific faculty
management of all financial, administrative and organizational matters associated with the IMPRS and
promotion of the program, creating flyers and brochures and organizing IMPRS related events
implementation and management of the IMPRS`s social media channels
We seek an enthusiastic, proactive person who works independently and has excellent communication
and organizational skills. A good knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
Preferably, you hold a graduate degree in the life sciences and have already worked in a scientific or
