At the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences
W 1-Junior Professorship
for Political Science with a Specialization
in International Institutions (with Tenure Track)
Applicants should have a research focus on and teaching experience with regard to
international institutions, notably theories and empirics of international and/or transnational
institutions (understood as international organizations, regimes and norms) as well as
institutional change and/or decision-making.
Applicants must have been awarded a PhD in political science or related areas. They
must also have published internationally and have already gained teaching experience.
We welcome applicants with a proven ability to apply successfully for research grants and
demonstrable competence in teaching social science methods in an application-oriented way.
The holder of the position is also expected to contribute to the (Doctoral) Research Training
Group „Wicked Problems - Contested Administrations (WIP-CAD)“ and to align teaching
and research activities to the research and teaching profile of the faculty. Teaching should
be partly conducted in English.
The hiring process is subject to the requirements set forth in section 45 of the
Brandenburg Higher Education Act.
