Cooperation Leave Model (Jülicher Modell) for a
. The position includes leading a
newly established junior researcher group at PTB.
The appointment for the professorship is part of the cooperation of the Einstein Center Digital Future partners.
|IV-446/16 (starting at the earliest possible / for a period of 3 years; an extension of 3 more years is
possible after successful evaluation / closing date for applications 13/10/16)
|Development and implementation of excellent and highly innovative premarket research in the field of
secure and trustworthy ICT-systems in legal metrology. The commercial as well as social need for a contemporary
applicability of novel technological approaches must be taken into account. The integration of business partners for a
subsequent utilization is also required.
Successful applicants must fulfill the requirements for appointment at the professor level in compliance
with § 102a BerlHG (Berlin Higher Education Act), including a completed academic education in computer science, electrical
engineering, mathematics or similar, qualified achievements in research and a particular qualification for academic
work normally attested by the excellent quality of a PhD, and pedagogical didactic qualifications, to be proven by teaching
experience and visualized in a teaching portfolio (for further information see TUB Website, quick as no. 144242).
Additionally, applicants must provide proof of intra- and interdisciplinary work regarding information- and communication
technology as well as IT-security, being scientifically excellent, innovative and internationally competitive.
The applicants need to have profound knowledge in several of the below stated fields, however, expertise regarding software-
based solutions is favored:
- Low level system security
- IT security in embedded, mobile and distributed systems,
- Network-architecture, Virtualization and Embedded-Systems
- Applied Cryptography and risk assessment and evaluation
- Distributed Sensor Networks (IoT)
If the candidate was employed as a research assistant before or after the completion of a PhD, the total period of PhD
and employment combined must not have exceeded six years.
