German Trainee Programme (GTP) in cooperation with
ESA Headquarters in Paris, France, we wish to recruit a qualified

Income Management (HIF-FCI)
Your mission:
Have you (almost) completed your degree studies? Are you inspired by space exploration and keen to
pursue a career in this exciting field? If so, perhaps you should take a closer look at the German Trainee Programme. Organised by DLR, it offers you
the chance to work shoulder to shoulder with experts from the 22 member states of ESA - keeping your finger on the pulse of Europe's space programmes.
Over a period up to 24 months, you will actively contribute to the latest research and/or technology projects. This is complemented by a generous scholarship.

1st February 2019.
The proposed opportunity will be developed in the Finance, Planning and Controlling Department, Planning, Budget and Controlling Division and in particular in the
Income Management Section. This section is responsible for managing all the income of the Agency. The management of the income is divided in two groups the Member
States and Participants and the Third Party Programmes. It is proposed that the trainee will be involved in both areas to have a clear overview of the Section
but will mainly be focussing on process/tools improvements and operations related to Third Party Programmes.
Tasks:
Related to Contributions from Member States and Participants:
- preparation of inputs for all Call-ups and follow up during the year (revision of budgets, prepayments.)
- preparation of Audit Reports per Member State/Participant
- update of Income tables per programme as per Financial Statements
Related to Third Party Programmes:
- support continuous process/tools improvement effort
- preparation accounting procedures for Third party Income
- analysis of dunning and write-offs
- follow-up the development of new reporting tools
- update of SAP structure to segregate Types of Third party income
- support the closing of activities and programmes
- any other administrative tasks needed (documentation,...)
Your qualifications:
- good knowledge of Accounting and Excel, analytical and organisational skills
- German citizenship is absolutely necessary
- applicants should have just completed (conclusion not older than two years) or be in their final year of a university course at Master's level in a technical or scientific discipline
- candidates must be fluent in English or French, the official languages of the Agency
