We are looking for the Institute of Nanotechnology (INT) as soon as possible, limited to 3 years, for a
Materials Scientist (f/m/d) or
Part time 50 %
As part of a DFG-project you will characterize the ionic transport properties of novel high-entropy materials. These will potentially be applied as solid electrolytes for Li-ion batteries. The main aim of this research project is to develop and characterize ionic conductors. In the following step the Li-ion conductors would be integrated in functioning half cells. Thereby, the project combines fundamental understanding of the novel materials and application oriented research.
In addition to the research activity, there is a possibility for acquiring a doctoral degree.
You are a university graduate (Diplom (Uni) / Master) with a major in Materials Science, Chemistry or a comparable qualification with above average grades. You have experience with synthesis and manufacturing of ceramic materials. Experience with electrochemical characterization methods, e.g. impedance spectroscopy and with the development of battery materials is desired. Experience with the deposition of thin films is advantageous. You are equipped with strong communication skills, a cooperative personality, initiative and a goal-oriented working strategy.
