At the
Institute for Molecular Biosciences, Department RNA Regulation in Higher Eukaryotes at the Goethe-University Frankfurt is inviting applications for a
PhD student (m/f/d)
(E 13 TV-G-U, 65 % part-time)
available for three years, starting as soon as possible subject to the approval of funds. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe-University (TV-G-U).
Responsibilities:
The position is supported by the Excellence Cluster „Cardiopulmonary Institute (CPI)“. The aim is to establish methods and tools allowing to study „The role of micropeptides and Split-ORFs in the cardiovascular system“. You are responsible for planning, conducting and validating of experiments.
Requirements:
Requirement is a completed scientific university degree (diploma or master) in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or Cell Biology. You should have experiences and interest in RNA biology, RNA biochemistry, microscopy or cell culture work. You should be proficient in English and expertise and interest in bioinformatics would be advantageous. The student will work at the interface between Cell biology, RNA biochemistry and Bioinformatics.
