The Chair of Public Administration, Prof. Dr. Ines Mergel, at the University of
Konstanz, is hiring a

The position starts on 1 April 2017
. The candidate will have the opportunity
to finish her/his doctoral thesis during the time of employment.
A Master of Public Administration or Master of Public Management degree
or a degree in business/public administration informatics and an interest in
working on applied academic research in the field of digital transformation
of the public sector.
The research group for Professor Mergel focuses on topics like:
Digital transformation of the public sector, specifically topics like co-design
of online services, Open Innovation, Big Data, Open Government, Social
Media, and the adoption of other non-conventional technologies and
practices in the public sector. A pre-requisite is excellent proficiency in
written and spoken English, independent and self-driven work, as well as
experience in (English written) academic work and writing.
