The Gravitational Physics group of the Department of Physics of University of Vienna (see
http://gravity.univie.ac.at/) is seeking to fill a post-doctoral position (Universitaetsassistent/in) in the field of numerical cosmology. Candidates with expertise in dark matter models and many-body simulations will be of particular interest to the group.
The appointment will be for six years, according to previous experience.
The list of members of the group at the start of the appointment, including scientifically active retired members, will include Peter Aichelburg, Robert Beig, Piotr Chru\'sciel, David Fajman, Maciej Maliborski, Stefan Palenta and Walter Simon.
Scientific interaction with some members of the group will be expected.
Active participation in research, teaching and administration. This involves - Developing and strengthening the independent research profile - Involvement in research projects / research studies - International publications and presentations - Independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement - Supervision of students - Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance - Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration
The gross salary is §49 Abs. 3 lit. b. The yearly teaching load averaged over two semesters is four hours/week, in English or in German. The candidate will not be asked to teach more than six hours a week in any given semester in any case.
