Post-Doctoral Research Assistant (m/f/d)
(salary group 13 TVöD; 39 hours per week)
for a limited period of 3 years.
The project in question is for the externally funded project “Valuating Handwriting in the Digital Age: A Case Study in Japanese Calligraphy”.
The project forms part of the Cluster of Excellence ‘Understanding Written Artefacts: Material, Interaction and Transmission in Manuscript Cultures’. It is also embedded in the Experimental
Psychology Unit of Helmut Schmidt University / Bundeswehr University, Hamburg

Responsibilities:
- The research tasks deal with the provision of scientific services in the above-mentioned project.
- Independent work on project assignments in close consultation with the project head
- Possibility of further academic qualification (e.g. habilitation)
- Carrying out general administrive work as well as academic activities in academic self-administration
Qualification requirements:
- Completed scientific university degree [Diplom (univ.) or Master] in the fields of psychology, psychology cognitive neuroscience or a related field
- Doctorate in one of the relevant subject areas
- Very good knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken

The employment is based on the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD) in conjunction with the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG). In principle, the activities correspond to pay group 13 (E13). However, the actual classification depends on the fulfilment of the relevant collective agreement and personal requirements.
Part-time employment is possible.
