Post Doctoral Researcher - EU climate policies, in particular the EU-ETS, and other policies to decarbonize transport / industry (m/f/d)

in the field of climate and energy economics, starting on 01.06.2021 earliest. The position is funded for 24 months. Remuneration is in accordance with the German public tariff scheme (TV-L Brandenburg), salary group E 13. All position are full-time with a weekly working time of 40 hours. Key responsibilities:

• conduct research that is both policy-relevant and has high academic quality on one or more of the above topics
• coordinate related project activities
• disseminate project findings in formats suitable for decision makers (e.g. policy brief) and the broader public (e. g. blog posts)

Requirements:

• PhD in economics or another social science with a quantitative orientation
• profound knowledge of quantitative empirical / numerical / theoretical methods and excellent analytical skills; knowledge of optimization software (GAMS or similar) is an asset
• academic record that underlines to publish in top-ranked journals in the field of energy and climate economics and policy as well as related interdisciplinary journals
