The Department of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases, Medical University of Rostock, Germany recently joined the collaboration project „Card-ii-Omics“, sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education. Card-ii-Omics conducts excellent research and qualitative teaching and training at the interface of innovative implant technology and modern methods in protein biochemistry and molecular biology to fight implant-related cardiovascular infections. Card-ii-Omics provides an investigation platform of recognized expertise in high-quality, translational research.

Minimum Qualifications / General Requirements:
-PhD or equivalent degree in life science, preferentially including laboratory experience in molecular and biochemical techniques
-Enthusiasm to work in a thriving academic research environment
-Very good communications and writing skills in English
-Experience in publishing in peer-reviewed journals

-Ability to work independently as well as in a team
-Autonomous working style
-Communicative skills
-Curiousness and interest to deal with new topics
