The position is embedded in the Section of Experimental Oncology and Nanomedicine, which addresses a broad spectrum of nanomedicine and regenerative medicine topics. We offer

as individual opportunities to grow and develop professionally. The postdoctoral scientist will be given a leading role in the experimental work of the DFG-funded interdisciplinary
project, focusing on the detailed and systematic investigations of the effect of polymer properties, as well as bioactive coatings, on the colonization of scaffold with vascular cells.
Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/x)
for the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Section of Experimental Oncology and Nanomedicine (SEON)
Your tasks:
- cultivation of human vascular cells on nanofibrous or nanoporous scaffolds, 3D cell cultures and co-cultures, molecular and cell biology, signal transduction, and protein expression analyses
- evaluation of biomaterial cyto- and hemocompatibility in static and dynamic conditions, development and optimization of flow models
- fluorescence staining, histological examination, confocal microscopy, spectral microscopy, SEM, TEM
- planning, project coordination, experimental work, reporting, and communication
- intensive collaboration with project partners
- supervision of Bachelor / Master / PhD students and/or interns
Essential experience / qualifications:
- completed PhD studies in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, or similar
- expertise in 3D cell culture, cell biology, and advanced microscopic techniques
- independent and structured work
- commitment and willingness to work in a team
- excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- aspiration towards university teaching qualification and Habilitation (postdoctoral qualification showing ability to lecture and perform research at a professional level)
