The University of Lucerne is the youngest university in Switzerland. Founded in 2000, it currently comprises the four faculties of Theology,
Cultural and Social Sciences, Law, Economics and the Department of Health Sciences and Medicine and has around 3'000 students. The
new Faculty of Behavioural Sciences and Psychology will complement the human sciences profile of the University of Lucerne. In addition
to establishing a study program in psychology, the faculty will incorporate relevant topics from a human science perspective and offer new
research and teaching collaborations. Among other projects, there are plans to establish an integrative behavioural science research laboratory
that will connect the existing faculties and launch new fields of research.

Professor of Clinical Psychology (open rank)
In this role, you will generally be responsible for the field of Clinical Psychology at the newly created Faculty of Behavioural Sciences and
Psychology. The study program in psychology will begin with the first year's bachelor program in the fall semester of 2024 and will thereafter
be built up successively. You will teach the undergraduate course in Clinical Psychology and gradually take on other courses at the undergraduate
and graduate levels. You will actively participate in the further design and detailed planning of the curriculum. You will develop
an innovative research program with international outreach, and - in cooperation with the Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychology -
actively assist in establishing a psychological consulting center. You will further help in establishing a doctoral program.
The professorship can be taken up at the level of full professorship or assistant professorship with tenure track. For a full professorship, a
completed habilitation or an equivalent scientific qualification is required; for an assistant professorship, a doctorate is a prerequisite. Further,
experience in leading independent research projects is expected.
We expect applicants to have relevant publications (peer-reviewed) in their field of research, proven teaching expertise, and experience in
acquiring competitive third-party funding. Psychotherapeutic training is a prerequisite. Besides the professional qualifications, you are characterized
by a high degree of integration skills and openness for cooperation with other faculties and institutions in Lucerne.
German language skills at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages should be present or must be
acquired within a reasonable period of time.
