www.gess.ethz.ch) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned position.
→ We are looking for a senior scholar with a solid background in the cognitive and behavioural
sciences, who will contribute to a better understanding of human learning in the schooling years, and how these understandings can be used to design better learning environments. The professorship will direct the teacher education program at ETH Zurich, which forms a strategic interface with the secondary school system. German language skills are an advantage as well as the willingness to contribute to the Swiss Educational system as a whole. The ETH Zurich is a leading university with
core academic areas in engineering, the natural sciences, architecture
and mathematics, which also appreciates the perspective of the humanities and social sciences in both education and research. ETH Zurich provides excellent research conditions and expects innovative inter-disciplinary collaboration across a variety of
academic disciplines. Applicants are expected to a) have high-
impact publications in Educational Psychology and Learning
Sciences, b) document their connections to STEM education, and c) demonstrated evidence of managing projects.
