For our Engineering and Data Science programs in Potsdam, we are looking for:
Professorship for Digital Business and Data Science
You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the new trends and applications in the Digital Business and Data Science sector and experience in teaching students from various cultures.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Data Science
- Planning and implementation of research projects, including publication activities in the fields of Data Science as well as in other related areas
- Advising and supervising students
- Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses
- Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Potsdam location
- Administrative activities and committee work
- Advising prospective students
Requirements for professorship:
- Completed university studies
- Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications
- Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university
Your profile:
- Experience in teaching in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, and Artificial Intelligence
- Ability to teach courses in Business related areas is an advantage
- Ability to teach courses in the English language
- Publication and research activity desired
- Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
- Organizational skills and eagerness to work together to advance the success and growth of the University
