The Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics of the University of Zurich invites
applications for a
Professorship in Artificial Intelligence for Cyber-Physical Systems
The position can be filled at any level (Assistant with Tenure Track, Associate or Full Profes-sor), starting
at the earliest in Fall 2023. Candidates applying for Assistant Professorship shall hold a Ph.D. degree
in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related areas with a
specialization in machine learning, mobile robotics, or perception, and shall have an excellent record of
academic achievements in the relevant fields. Candidates applying for Associate or Full Professorship
shall have an excellent research record in ma-chine learning, mobile robotics, or perception and strong
teaching skills both at the under-graduate and the graduate levels. The successful candidate is expected
to perform research in any (but not limited to) of the following areas:
- Multi-modal, multi-task, embodied AI,
- Learning from past experiences, auto reconfiguration and adaptation,
- Robust and intelligent perception,
- Human imitation (e.g., learning prediction and action from large unlabeled videos of humans),
- Robot learning.
The performance evaluation will be undertaken in line with DORA and the Open Science Policy of the
University of Zurich.
