The location and facilities of EBS Business School in Oestrich-Winkel offer excellent conditions for its faculty to provide individual support to the students on site. The campus life of EBS Business School is characterized by personal contact, close interaction with students and personal exchange among faculty members which is further facilitated by regular research workshops and guest lecturers.

At EBS Business School, the Group of Finance and Accounting is seeking to appoint two new faculty members in the position of a Professor f/m/d of Financial and Managerial Accounting (open rank). Incoming applications will be examined for their suitability for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professorship. An Assistant Professor’s position runs for 3 years with a regular extension for another 3 years upon positive mid-term evaluation. After successful completion of the final evaluation, the temporary position may be converted into a permanent position in accordance with the tenure-track regulations applicable to EBS Business School.

Your Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining an active research agenda aimed at making a significant contribution in the field of expertise
• Teaching across all levels, i.e. BSc, MSc, MBA and PhD programs as well as supervision/co-supervision of doctoral students
• To contribute to development and teaching of programs in executive education
• Participation in the University’s academic services
• To interact with our corporate network and to secure external research funding

Your Profile:

• Evidence of high-calibre research proven by a track-record of international publications, doctoral degree in a relevant field
• Experience and a demonstrated commitment to teaching
• Expertise in German GAAP, IFRS and auditing for the financial accounting position
• Either candidate should ideally share an interest in the other areas of accounting and taxation
