The State of Brandenburg’s Faculty of Health Sciences – a joint Faculty of the University of Potsdam, the Brandenburg Medical School “Theodor Fontane” and the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg – invites applications for the following position to be filled as soon as
possible:
The successful candidate is expected to have an outstanding research record in the field of epidemiology. Research should focus on mental and cognitive health and/or lifestyle factors such as exercise and
nutrition across the lifespan. Applicants should have experience in the development and/or application of mobile assessment tools in epidemiology. Applicants should have a research profile compatible with the existing research activities of our university and non-university research institutions, such as the German Center for Mental Health in Berlin-Potsdam, and with the research profiles “Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation” and “Healthcare Research with a Focus on eHealth.” The holder of this professorship will work in the Faculty of Health Sciences, which is currently being established. The central research topic
of the new faculty is the medicine and health of aging.
International visibility and successful acquisition of third-party funding are required. The appointed individual must teach in the program “Master of Public Health, Exercise, and Nutrition,” which is to be newly established, and the position holder must be able to represent the full disciplinary breadth of the subject of epidemiology in teaching.
