The Faculty of Physics at TU Dortmund University is seeking to fill the position of a
Professor (W3) in Experimental Physics
commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate will specialize in research on THz spectroscopy focusing on recent developments in this area.
TU Dortmund University is seeking an outstanding individual and well established researcher in this field with relevant international publications in recognized venues. Experience in raising third-party funds is expected.
The appointment shall strengthen the spectroscopic activities of the Faculty of Physics, mainly by methodological development of THz-spectroscopyand its application to modern scientific questions.
The Faculty of Physics contributes to the excellence cluster RESOLV and the Russian-German International Collaborative Research Center TRR 160.
We expect the willingness to participate in both initiatives. Great potential can be leveraged through combination with other spectroscopic methods in the faculty.
An adequate contribution to the faculty's curriculum is expected.
The successful candidate possesses social and leadership skills and is willingto be involved in academic self-governance.
