Professorship (W3) in Romance Philology / Linguistics (in the fields of French and Spanish Linguistics)

The Faculty of Arts of the University of Bonn is seeking to fill the position of a
W3 Professorship in Romance Philology/Linguistics
(in the fields of French and Spanish Linguistics)
at the Department of Classical and Romance Philology. This position is to be
filled starting April 1st, 2021.
Candidates will be expected to represent, both in research and teaching,
the subject in general, including diachrony. Within French Linguistics, the
applicant’s field of expertise should lie in European French, while expertise
in Spanish Linguistics’ should lie in European and Latin American Spanish.
Knowledge in the field of Lusophone Studies is desired. International and interdisciplinary
experience, dedicated cooperation in the department’s international
and interdisciplinary teaching and research networks as well as in the
newly established Centre Ernst Robert Curtius/Centrum Ernst Robert Curtius
are key components. Furthermore, candidates will be expected to participate
in further research initiatives at the Faculty level as well as in committees of
