The Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering
at TU Dortmund University is one of the largest of its
kind in Europe, focusing on the development and optimization
of safe, sustainable and efficient production processes.
The department is seeking to fill the position of a
Professor (W2) in "Fluid Mechanics"
commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate
will specialize in research and teaching in the
field of "Fluid Mechanics".
The candidate should be an
excellent researcher with a significant
track record in the field
of numerical and experimental
Fluid Mechanics, particularly
with experience in multiphase
systems with liquids and in
applications in biochemical
and process engineering, which
should be evidenced by publications
in highly-ranked international
journals and other relevant
Applicants are expected to complement
the research activities of
the Department of Biochemical
and Chemical Engineering and
contribute to interdisciplinary
collaborative research projects of
the department within and outside
TU Dortmund University.
Experience with the acquisition
of third-party funded research
projects is expected.
An adequate contribution to
the department‘s teaching
curriculum in German and
English in the medium term as
well as experience in supervising
undergraduate and postgraduate
research are expected.
The successful candidate will
possess social and leadership
skills and be willing to participate
in academic self-governance.
