Research assistant (postdoc, 100%) in primary aldosteronism (m/f)
Applications are invited for a post doctorand to work with Mr. Professor Martin Reincke at the Endocrine Research Labs of the
Medical Department IV/University of Munich on a project funded by the ERC. The core aim of the Pathophysiology of Primary Aldosteronism
(PAPA) ERC Advanced Grant is to obtain improved insights into the humoral and molecular mechanisms underlying aldosterone excess and
hypertension in primary aldosteronism, with a view to identifying novel therapeutic targets of potential clinical interest. In addition
to joining the PAPA group, the successful candidate will join a vibrant research department with a strong engagement in endocrinology
and diabetes research.
M.Sc. degree or equivalent and PhD in chemistry or a biological discipline with essential knowledge of good clinical research
Molecular biology including qPCR and site-directed mutagenesis, general protein biochemistry and structure-function studies
Demonstrated ability to synthesize results in graphic, oral and written reports including the ability to clearly explain statistical techniques and interprete findings
Good communication skills and fluency in English
An open-minded and self-motivated character
