Research Fellow (PhD Candidate)
in Finance in the Field of Capital Market Research (m/f/d)

Our Requirements:

• The candidates should have completed (or are completing) a Master’s degree or equivalent in Management/Business, Economics, Business Mathematics, or Information Systems
• Enthusiasm for conducting high quality and innovative empirical research in Finance
• Intellectual curiosity and an interest in pursuing a career in academia
• Strong statistical training and quantitative research methods
• Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, Stata, or Matlab is highly desirable
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a research team
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Superior academic track record
• Excellent English language skills

Your Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Müller on research, focusing on Asset Pricing, Asset Management, Behavioral Finance, Digital Finance, and/or Sustainable Finance.
• The doctoral candidate is willing to support the teaching activities at the Center for Digital Transformation at TUM Campus Heilbronn.
• In addition, the doctoral candidate will participate in the PhD program of TUM School of Management.
• Moreover, the successful candidate will work on third-party funded projects.

• The vacant position can be filled from March 2023 or by arrangement and is initially limited for 3 years.
