Research Group Leader in Cyber Security
(Fulltime, E 14 TV-L)
Reference No.: 2022/296. The Department of Computer and Information Science in the Faculty of
Sciences seeks to fill the endowed position (definite term, max. 5 years) of a research group leader in a
field related to Cyber Security or with applications in Cyber Security. Funding for two additional E 13 TV-L
positions for Ph.D. students or postdocs over the whole duration is included. The start date is April 1st,
2023, or by agreement.

Your Responsibilities
- Establishing a research group in the broader field of cyber security with flexibility in determining the research focus (e.g. data foundations, machine learning, theoretical aspects, multi-agent systems, network analytics, privacy, quantum computing, cryptography)
- Significantly advance the state of the art in your field in terms of theory and practice
- Contributions to and integration with the department’s interdisciplinary initiatives (e.g., Collective Behaviour, CHDS, SFB-TRR 161) are highly desirable
Your Competencies
- A doctoral degree in Computer Science or
a related field
- Excellent academic track record in your
field of research substantiated through
publications at high-rank venues
- Experience in obtaining external funding
and project leadership
- German language skills - are not requiered
