The Department of Computer Science of the University of Stuttgart invites applications for the position of a

Research Group Leader in Interactive Learning and Robotics
(TV-L E14)

Successful candidates should have an excellent early-career track record in one or more of the following areas:
  • Machine Learning
  • Robotics
  • Reinforcement Learning or Adaptive Control
  • Human-Robot Interaction and Cooperation
The research-focused position will lead a new Research Group as part of Baden-Württemberg’s newly established Research Alliance Stuttgart-Tübingen ‚System-Mensch‘. The research group is expected to engage actively with the strong existing research environment in Machine Learning, Robotics, Human-Computer Interaction and Perception in both, Stuttgart andTübingen, including the MPI for Intelligent Systems. The funding includes a postdoc position (TV-L E14) for the group leader, additional 1.5 PhD positions (TV-L E13), startup and running budgets, and can to full extent use the fully equipped robotics lab in Stuttgart. The funding will be for three years with a two-year extension option for the group leader.
