Your Tasks:

• Developing and fabricating nanoporous metals or alloys with several levels of structural hierarchy through electrochemical dealloying and additive manufacturing
• Microstructure characterization (using scanning and transmission electron microscopies as well as x-ray small angle scattering), mechanical characterization and functional applications
• Developing and understanding the links between structure and function and mechanical material behavior at each length scale
• Publication and presentation of your scientific results in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences
• Work towards pursuing a doctorate

Your Profile:

• Masters degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Nanoscience, Physics, Chemistry or related area from an internationally recognized academic institution
• Knowledge and practical experience in the fields of electrochemistry, materials mechanical behavior, materials characterization or metallurgy is considered an asset
• Ability to present scientific contexts to an international audience of experts in a comprehensible and convincing manner, both verbally and in writing in English
• Willingness and ability to work in a team with an international group of scientists
