Developing and fabricating nanoporous metals or alloys with several levels of structural hierarchy through electrochemical dealloying and additive manufacturing
Microstructure characterization (using scanning and transmission electron microscopies as well as x-ray small angle scattering), mechanical characterization and functional applications
Developing and understanding the links between structure and function and mechanical material behavior at each length scale
Publication and presentation of your scientific results in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences
Work towards pursuing a doctorate
Masters degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Nanoscience, Physics, Chemistry or related area from an internationally recognized academic institution
Knowledge and practical experience in the fields of electrochemistry, materials mechanical behavior, materials characterization or metallurgy is considered an asset
Ability to present scientific contexts to an international audience of experts in a comprehensible and convincing manner, both verbally and in writing in English
Willingness and ability to work in a team with an international group of scientists
