– MSc Applied Mathematics, Cybernetics,
Electrical Engineering or similar –
You are motivated to developing novel optimization-based control strategies for energy systems and you will
- formulate and implement large-scale optimization problems for electrical and multi-carrier energy systems
- focus on distributed and decentralized algorithms which consider stochastic uncertainties
- be responsible for the internal and external coordination with academic and industrial partners
- publish your research results in leading journals and present at major international conferences
The position is suitable for part-time employment.
You have a degree (Diplom (Uni)/Master) in Applied Mathematics, Cybernetics, Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
Ideally, you have already finished, respectively you are about to finish, your PhD and you have profound knowledge of numerical optimization,
systems theory and control engineering; a background on distributed control algorithms and computations as well as knowledge of optimization
under uncertainty would be a plus. Basic on knowledge on modelling of energy systems would also be helpful. Language proficiency in English as
well as good communication skills and team skills are required.
