Software Developer: Automatic and intuitive motion planning for industrial robotic processes - Praktikum

Ihre Aufgaben:
Description:

Industrial robot processes, such as welding, milling and deburring, require specific software components for their effective and efficient programming. The internship focuses on the further development of functions, models and algorithms of an internal developed CAM software. Programming of functionalities on a robot simulation environment, GUI and optimal motion planner using probabilistic algorithms will be conducted.

Your Tasks:
  • Software programming on the robot simulation environment, GUI and program generation.
  • Implementation of functions, models and algorithms for the optimal motion planning of robotic manufacturing using sample-based methods.
  • Benchmarking of sample-based motion planning algorithms for the intuitive and automatic programming of robotic manufacturing.
  • Evaluation of the implemented system in respect to the process quality and programming efficiency on the real robot cells [Kuka KR270 for machining, Reiß for deburring].

The position is offered for a period of 6 months.
A letter from the university is required to certify the internship.



Ihre Voraussetzungen:
  • Experience with C++/C# and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with Matlab (experience with Python is recommended).
  • Good knowledge of robotics (Kinematic and dynamic modelling), automation technology, sample-based motion planning algorithms is desirable.
  • Experiences with robot path generation and industrial robot programming are helpful.
  • Very good knowledge of German and/or English in spoken and written way.
  • Motivation, creativity, self-dependent working, abstract thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Commitment and teamwork (Experience with Scrum planning is recommended).

Die Stelle ist auf eine Dauer von 4-6 Monaten ausgelegt
