The Collaborative Research Center 889 "Cellular Mechanisms of Sensory Processing" (www.sfb889.uni-goettingen.de) is looking for a student assistant to help with the CRC's data managements. The successful applicant would help the individual projects of the CRC in depositing their published research on a common storage in a way which ensures availability and reproducability of the scientific data.
Due to the international teams working in the CRC, fluency in English is an essential prerequisite for this job. A good understanding of computer systems is advantageous. Knowledge of handling databases and programming languages is an advantage, but not a must. This position offers a unique possibility for gaining a broad overview of the handling and publication of research data in natural sciences in general and in sensory research in particular.
