TENURE TRACK Position at the Faculty of Science and Technology
The Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Twente seeks outstanding female applicants for a tenure-track position. The tenure track position is open to highly talented women who hold a doctoral degree, have postdoc experience and excellent potential for a successful scientific career in the areas of Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology or Health and Biomedical Technologies. Depending on your background and experience together with you we will search for the right positioning in the Faculty.
You are expected to develop your own research line and (in time) research group, which also involves acquiring external funding, of particular interest in this are the NWO Innovational Research Incentives Scheme (VENI/VIDI/VICI) and the European Research Council grants.
You will be involved in the teaching program of the faculty and you are also invited to transfer your own specific expertise to the master programs. As part of the tenure track you will be offered a Basic Teaching Qualification (BKO) program.
The intention of this tenure track is that, after a maximum period of six years, you enter into permanent employment as associated professor and progress further in the organization towards full professorship.

We are looking for a highly talented scientist with a PhD in one of the mentioned fields. You are expected to be a pro-active individual, ready and capable to create links between your own research area and the multi-disciplinary context at the University of Twente. We expect you to have a publishing record of acknowledged quality, and the ambition and potential to acquire personal research grants in the Netherlands and from EU. Preferably you have proven didactic skills and experience in teaching or you have the interest and capacity to become an excellent teacher.

Conditions of employment
The tenure track position is for a maximum of 6 years. After a successful completion of this track you will continue in a permanent position at the University of Twente.
During your tenure track term your performance will be evaluated regularly. Goal of these evaluations is to keep track of your progress, and to help you focus on maximum development of your scientific and education goals. Criteria for evaluation comprise; a strong track record of publications, evaluation of teaching capacities and a demonstrated ability to acquire research funding and to achieve an international network and reputation. Shortly after your start you and your supervisors will set up a plan aimed at the successful completion of your tenure track.
The terms of employment are in accordance with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Universities (CAO). Depending on relevant background and experience, the gross monthly salary on a full time basis at the start of your appointment will range between € 3.427,- to € 4.691,- gross per month. Your starting salary may vary, depending on your background. Employees are also entitled to a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary and a year-end bonus of 8,3 %.
