The group of Assoc. Prof. Toma Susi is looking for an excellent postdoctoral researcher to join a research program focused on using first principles modelling and machine learning to support the group's experimental transmission electron microscopy research. Extent of Employment: 40.0 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description:
The selected person will support the research of the Susi group by developing and applying computational tools and techniques in the context of electron microscopy. The position includes independent teaching of courses at the Faculty of Physics as defined by the collective agreement as well as the supervision of students. Profile:
- Doctoral degree/PhD degree in physics or a closely related field
- Professional experience with the Python programming language
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
Desirable qualifications are
- Prior experience with electron microscopy simulations and machine learning is an advantage
