Your personal sphere of play:
Your future position is at the Department of Business Analytics and Decisions which is part of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics.We are a highly international and research-oriented Department
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You build up an independent research profile in the field of Operations Research.
- You publish internationally and give lectures.
- You apply for projects and raise third-party funds.
- You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitation.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- You completed your PhD in a topic related to Operations Research.
- You have extensive experience with exact and (meta-)heuristic solution methods in the field of Operations Research.
- You have experience successfully publishing academic research at top OR journals (e.g., European Journal of Operational Research)
- You are an experienced programmer, preferably using the Python programming language.
- You have experience performing and publishing research in the following domains of operations research: maritime optimization, supply chain optimization.
- You have experience acquiring third-party funding.
- Excellent knowledge of English (C1) / other foreign language
- Team player and high social/communicative skills
