The University of Vienna, Faculty of Chemistry, is the home of the newly founded Vienna Doctoral School in Chemistry (DoSChem).
DoSChem is the largest doctoral training program in Austria focusing on the field of chemistry and closely related sciences by bringing together about 175 doctoral students and more than 45 principal investigators. Our goal is to train excellent scientists and to provide an open-minded environment that allows them to connect with each other and to experience a scientifically rich environment to carry out interdisciplinary and curiosity-driven research. DoSChem offers 7 PhD positions with variuos starting times (09.21-03.22) and contract duration of 4 years across the Faculty of Chemistry.

We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months and to participate in research, teaching and administration, including:
- Participation in research projects / research studies
- Participation in publications / academic articles / presentations
- Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Supervision of students
- Involvement in the organisation of meetings, conferences, symposiums
- Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration.

Profile:
#1 Master in Chemistry with specialization in physical chemistry, in physics or in a related field.
#2 Master (or equivalent) in chemistry with specialization in organic chemistry by the time of the appointment.
#3 Master in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or in a related field.
#4 Master in chemistry (with specification in organic synthesis)
#5 Master in biological chemistry, nutrition, food chemistry or related field.
#6 Master in chemistry, preferably in the field of synthetic chemistry or an equivalent qualification.
