The new professorship in the School of Management will be invited to become part of a dynamic team at the Institute of Information Systems and Digital Business. The position involves teaching at all levels including executive education and in different programs with a focus on the Bachelor in Business Administration and the Master in Business Innovation. It is expected that potential candidates are familiar with a broad spectrum of research methods to also being able to offer teaching in this field.
We are looking for a candidate with an internationally recognised research track record in the leading Information System (IS) journals, including FT50-journals, experience in acquisition and management of third-party projects as well as excellent teaching skills. The disciplinary focus of the position is the management of IS in organizations. Complementary to the existing school faculty, expertise in one or more of the following fields is especially favorable: Design, implementation and operation of intelligent IS and digital platforms, augmentation of work and business processes with intelligent IS, human-AI-collaboration, governance, information privacy and security in the context of intelligent IS.
According to our claim “From insight to impact” the future colleague should convey scientific knowledge to students and have a significant impact on theory and practice. Associate Profes-sors are tenured and full members of our faculty. If the successful candidate has no prior knowledge of German, he or she will be expected to acquire a passive knowledge of the language within two years.
