Salary level: EGR. 13 TV-L
Start date: 01.10.2025, fixed until 30.09.2028. The contract provides for a maximum extension of up to two years depending on the associate’s achievements during the first stage and the available funding. (This is a fixed-term contract in accordance with Section 2 of the academic fixed-term labor contract act [Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG]).

Your responsibilities
In the period from 01.10.2025 until 30.09.2027, duties primarily include 25% teaching and research and 75% academic services in the project named above. In the period from 01.10.2027 until 30.09.2028, duties primarily include 100% teaching and research. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.- preparation of research papers and reports for the DFG project “Producer and retailer markets organization (PARETO)” – in the first two years of the project
- independent research in the field of empirical health economics and industrial organization
- participation in the research program of the Department and the HCHE:
- presenting at seminars
- potential participation in the research training group “Managerial and economic dimensions of healthcare quality”
- support for teaching in bachelor's and master's programs (teaching obligation amounts to 1 h/week in the period from 01.10.2025 until 30.09.2027 and 4 h/week in the period from 01.10.2027 until 30.09.2028)
Your Profile
A university degree in a relevant field.- master’s degree in Economics, Statistics or a closely related field
- documented interest in the fields of industrial economics, health economics and/or empirical methods
- documented expertise in conducting empirical quantitative research
- experience in working with statistical software (e.g. STATA, R, Matlab or Python)
- proficiency in English (proficiency in German is an advantage, but not a prerequisite)
