Your responsibilities

In the period from 01.10.2025 until 30.09.2027, duties primarily include 25% teaching and research and 75% academic services in the project named above. In the period from 01.10.2027 until 30.09.2028, duties primarily include 100% teaching and research. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

• preparation of research papers and reports for the DFG project “Producer and retailer markets organization (PARETO)” – in the first two years of the project
• independent research in the field of empirical health economics and industrial organization
• participation in the research program of the Department and the HCHE:
  • presenting at seminars
  • potential participation in the research training group “Managerial and economic dimensions of healthcare quality”
• support for teaching in bachelor's and master's programs (teaching obligation amounts to 1 h/week in the period from 01.10.2025 until 30.09.2027 and 4 h/week in the period from 01.10.2027 until 30.09.2028)

Your Profile

A university degree in a relevant field.

• master’s degree in Economics, Statistics or a closely related field
• documented interest in the fields of industrial economics, health economics and/or empirical methods
• documented expertise in conducting empirical quantitative research
• experience in working with statistical software (e.g. STATA, R, Matlab or Python)
• proficiency in English (proficiency in German is an advantage, but not a prerequisite)
