gemäß § 98 UG zu besetzen. Das privatrechtliche Arbeitsverhältnis auf Basis des Angestelltengesetzes wird mit der Universität unbefristet eingegangen. Das Beschäftigungsausmaß beträgt 100%. Profil und Aufgaben
Vertretung des Faches „Management Accounting“ in Forschung und Lehre. Die Professorin/der Professor soll vor dem Hintergrund eines sozialwissenschaftlichen Ansatzes Forschung im Bereich Management Accounting erbringen, bevorzugt mit qualitativ-empirischer Ausrichtung. Themen in diesem Forschungsbereich umfassen beispielsweise Design, Nutzung und Wirkungen finanzieller und nicht-finanzieller Steuerungssysteme in profitorientierten- oder Non-profit Organisationen sowie die Entwicklung und Verbreitung kalkulativer Techniken und Praktiken in unterschiedlichen gesellschaftlichen Kontexten. Die Forschung soll innerhalb des Instituts für Organisation und Lernen anschlussfähig sein, zur Weiterentwicklung der interdisziplinären Accountingforschung im Rahmen des Forschungszentrums „Accounting Theory and Research“ und zum Forschungsschwerpunkt „Economy, Politics and Society (EPoS)" und somit zur Profilbildung des Instituts und der Fakultät für Betriebswirtschaft beitragen. Publikationstätigkeit in hochwertigen internationalen Fachzeitschriften sowie Kooperation mit nationalen und/oder internationalen Forschungs- und/oder Projektpartner/innen werden ebenso erwartet wie die Einwerbung von Drittmitteln. In der Lehre soll die Professorin/der Professor an den einschlägigen Bachelor-, Master- und PhD-Programmen der Fakultät für Betriebswirtschaft in deutscher und englischer Sprache mitwirken. Darüber hinaus wird erwartet, dass sich die Professorin/der Professor an der strategischen Weiterentwicklung der Fakultät für Betriebswirtschaft sowie an der akademischen Selbstverwaltung beteiligt. Anstellungserfordernisse

1. Eine der Verwendung entsprechende abgeschlossene inländische oder gleichwertige ausländische Hochschulbildung;
2. Einschlägige Lehrbefugnis (Habilitation) oder gleichzuhaltende Leistung;
3. Publikationen in führenden internationalen referierten Fachzeitschriften;
4. Einbindung in die internationale fachspezifische Forschung;
5. Erfahrung in der Einwerbung und Verwaltung kompetitiver Drittmittel;
6. ausgeprägte didaktische Fähigkeiten;
7. facheinschlägige Auslandserfahrung;
8. Fähigkeit zur Führung von Teams im Bereich der Forschung und Lehre;
9. Fähigkeit zur Betreuung von Abschlussarbeiten auf Bachelor-, Master- oder PhD-Niveau;
10. die Fähigkeit, Lehrveranstaltungen in Deutsch und Englisch zu halten, bzw. gegebenenfalls die Bereitschaft, die fehlende Sprache für den Gebrauch im Rahmen der universitären Aufgaben im erforderlichen Ausmaß (mindestens B2-Niveau binnen 2 Jahren in der zweiten Sprache) zu erlernen;

The University of Innsbruck invites applications for the position of a

University Professor
of
Business Administration with a Focus on Management Accounting

at the Department of Organization and Learning at the Faculty of Business and Management. This position is in accordance with § 98 of the Austrian Universities’ Act (Universitätsgesetz - UG), based on a civil-law employment contract with the University on the basis of the Salaried Employees Act (Angestelltengesetz). The contract is permanent, with full-time employment (100%). Responsibilities
The professor shall represent the field of management accounting both in research and teaching. The professor shall conduct research in the area of management accounting, preferably drawing on qualitative empirical methodology. Topics in this area of research include, for example, the design, use and effects of financial and non-financial control systems in profit and non-profit organisations, as well as the development and dissemination of calculative techniques and practices in different social contexts. The research agenda should complement and support existing research in the Department of Organisation and Learning. It should help further develop the research center "Accounting Theory and Research" and the research area “Economy, Politics and Society”, and contribute to developing the research profile of both the Department and the Faculty of Business and Management. The professor will be expected to publish in leading international peer-reviewed journals, cooperate with national and international research and/or project partners, and obtain research funding. Upon appointment, the professor will teach in the Faculty’s undergraduate, graduate and PhD programs, with teaching in both, German and English languages. Active participation in the strategic development and governance of the Faculty of Business and Management is also expected. Employment requirements include

1. a degree in higher education in Austria or the equivalent abroad, pertinent to the position;
2. a relevant habilitation or an equivalent qualification (e.g., Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor);
3. publications in leading international peer-reviewed academic journals;
4. participation in the relevant international scholarly discourses;
5. experience in the acquisition and management of competitive third-party funding;
6. excellent teaching skills;
7. international scientific experience pertinent to the discipline;
8. the ability to lead teams in research and teaching;
9. the ability to supervise bachelor, master or PhD theses;
10. the ability to teach in German and English; German language proficiency is not required initially; however, the successful candidate is expected to attain a proficiency level of B2 within two years.
