The new professorship in the School of Management will be invited to become part of our dynamic organization and leadership group. We are seeking a colleague who is able to make important contributions to academia, practice, and society at large in current debates on leadership and organizational behavior. Emphasis should be placed on one or more of the following research areas: new ways of leading and organization, leadership climate and culture transformation, organizational and technological change and implications for responsible leadership etc. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in these areas and be capable of developing and researching applied, innovative approaches and solutions to challenges in leadership research.
We are looking for experienced candidates with an internationally recognized research record in leading journals in the field of leadership, management, and organizational behavior, reflected in multiple publications in top journals (FT 50, VHB A+/A), a pipeline of promising research projects, and a strong international academic network, strong ties with industry, and excellent teaching skills on all levels, including executives.
According to our claim “From insight to impact”, the future colleague should convey scientific knowledge to students and have a significant impact on theory and practice. We look for strong teachers who have developed innovative teaching formats and successfully offered them in the past. The successful candidate will also attract external research funding (e.g., SNF, InnoSuisse, industry collaborations), and contribute actively to the academic community and governance of the university. The capability and willingness to join the executive board of an institute is expected. In addition, leading a research team, scholarly commitment, running executive education programs and acquiring external funds are an important part of the position.
