The Klinik für Gastroenterologie, gastrointestinale Onkologie und Endokrinologie of the University Medical Center Göttingen is looking for a new position for the earliest start date
PhD position (f/m/d)
part time, 25,025 hours per week, limited for 3 years
Remuneration according to TV-L
Your tasks
Your tasks
- Standard Molecular Biology (PCR, qPCR, Western Blot, cloning and bacterial transformation, Immunohistochemistry etc.)
- Experience with cell culture experiments (3D culture systems is an advantage)
- Processing of human and murine tumor tissue samples (e.g., tumor tissue, plasma)
- Experience with animal experiments
- Documentation of experiments and results according to GLP standards
- Conduct an independent research project within a collaborative team
- Present and communicate research results at national and international scientific meetings
Your qualifications
Your qualifications
- You are a curious and enthusiastic scientist who can work independently but also in a team
- Strong background in Cancer Metabolism and / or Cancer Metastasis Research
- Hands-on experience in cell culture is a prerequisite
- licensed training to perform animal experiments (e.g. FELASA-B) is an advantage
- Solid knowledge of standard molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology techniques
- Interested in learning new procedures and protocols on metabolomics and lipidomics
- You should hold a BSc/MSc degree in life sciences such as Biology, Medical Biology, Biochemistry or a related subject
- Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) are required
