The Mannheim Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the Department of Immunobiochemistry at MI3 (Mannheim Institute for Innate Immunoscience / Head: Prof. Dr. Adelheid Cerwenka).

Scientist / Postdoctoral-fellow (f/m/d)

The focus of our department (headed by Prof. Dr. Adelheid Cerwenka) is research into innate immune cells, their functions and receptors, and their potential applications in immunotherapy.

Your tasks:

• Research project in the field of (innate) immunology
• Support of projects of the Department of Immunobiochemistry, (knowledge e.g. in bioinformatics would be an advantage)
• Organization and implementation of courses in biochemistry at the Mannheim Medical Faculty
• Implementation of seminars for medical students
• Supervision of biochemical internships for students

Your skills:

• Doctorate e.g. in biochemistry, biology or medicine
• High degree of motivation, enthusiasm for teaching, very good organizational skills
• Experience in teaching in the field of biochemistry or related subjects is an advantage
• Experience in research in biochemistry/immunology would be desirable
• Excellent German and English language skills
