Student Research Assistant (m/f/d) wanted // Quantitative Research and Online Survey Experiment // starting from 01. September (or later) // 44 hours per month (fewer hours possible) // one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension

Job Description:

The position is offered as part of the DFG-funded project “Gender-Specific Mechanisms of the Social Integration of Muslim Adolescents”.

Within the project, we examine the gender-specific mechanisms that shape the friendship networks of Muslim and non-Muslim adolescents.

We are currently seeking a student research assistant to support the project with quantitative data analysis and the implementation of an online survey experiment.

Your tasks:

• Supporting the design, recruitment of participants, and implementation of an online survey experiment
• Assisting with literature review
• Assisting with data preparation for subsequent analyses using R
• Familiarization with social network analysis and other network research methods

Your profile:

• Currently enrolled in sociology, social sciences, political science, education, psychology, or a related field
• Willingness to learn survey and survey-experimental methodology, and to work with survey platforms
• Strong interest in quantitative social research
• Familiarity with R statistical software
• Willingness to learn social network analysis and other network research methods
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
• Excellent organizational skills and a high level of reliability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with large datasets and online survey platforms (e.g., Limesurvey, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics) is desirable but not mandatory
