W3 Professorship in Discrete Mathematics
to be filled.
We are looking for candidates with a research focus on combinatorial optimization or adjacent areas in algorithmic discrete mathematics, and with publications in first-class journals and conferences. Besides research and teaching in discrete mathematics, willingness to contribute to industry cooperations of the research institute is expected. German language skills are not required in the beginning. The professor will normally become a member of the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics and the Faculty of Mathematics and
Natural Sciences.
For this tenured full professor position we seek an internationally outstanding scientist.
