A particular emphasis is placed on collaboration with the Canadian partner institutions - the University of Ottawa and the Univ of Calgary - which offer outstanding research infrastructure and extensive opportunities for international networking and interdisciplinary exchange.

These Are your Tasks:

  • conduct independent research on a topic closely related to the IRTG's focus on imaging quantum systems
  • investigate the fundamental quantum behaviour in photonic or molecular systems
  • presentation of research results at conferences and workshops
publication of research findings in high-ranking international journals

  • doctorate with an experimental focus in quantum physics or a closely related scientific field
  • solid expertise in at least two of the following areas: quantum optics, nanophotonics, integrated photonics, quantum information/communication, attosecond laser physics, ultrafast spectroscopy
  • proficient in spoken and written English; basic knowledge of the German language
  • experience in supervising and teaching students (e.g., in laboratories, tutorials, or practical courses)
  • experience in publishing and conducting independent research
  • strong ability to work in interdisciplinary and international research teams

WE OFFER YOU:

  • 30 days annual leave
  • Health management & university sports
